SCOPE
- First time West Virginia used precast bridge deck panels.
- One hundred fifty-two post-tensioned precast deck panels with a typical size of 7’11 ¾” x 14’3” x 8 ¼” thick which took approximately 456 cubic yards to produce.
- Two lanes of panels make up the 30’6” wide, 629’ long bridge which includes a one foot closure pour between the panels.
- Each panel included protruding epoxy rebar for a CIP barrier and closure pour along with shear pockets to connect to the steel girders, filled with non-shrink grout after installation.
